Grad Shoot Posing Guide

If you’re graduating soon, congratulations!

Here are some sample poses to give you ideas for your grad photos. Pinterest is also a great source of inspiration.

Have fun!

Toss your cap

Play with confetti — blow it towards the camera, throw it in the air, pop a confetti canon, etc.

Put your cap on

Your school’s hand sign (if there is one. See: USC and UT Austin for examples)

Show off your sash

Hand on hip

Hands in pockets

Look away from the camera

Sit down

Look over your shoulder

Walk towards the camera

Walk away from the camera — this is good for photos where you want to show off your sash, the back of your jersey, hold your cap in one hand, etc.
